Bike Commuting to work:
1 inch of snow on the way to work = fun, but five minutes longer then usual
6 inches of snow on the way home from work = fun, but twenty minutes longer then usual.

Pardon my foggy memory, but why again didn't you choose to go to somewhere warm with a beach?
I think I'd start to ride the warm bus for the next few months!
